Help Wanted!
Your district is in need of your help! If you were at the District Recognition dinner ( a good time was had by all by the way) you saw that all the people who helped with the district were recognized for their hard work over the year. You would also have seen many of the same people came up for multiple recognitions. The district is in need of new volunteers so that these people don’t suffer from burnout and we have no one to continue the great work of this district. If you are interested in finding out about working on the district level or you know of a leader or former leader from your unit who is in need of a new challenge please contact our DE Lisa Kirschner, District Committee Chair John Lyman or District Commissioner Doug Klemm. Lets keep Pocono District #1.

Christmas City Studio had a photographer at Jambo100 capturing all the Scouting fun. During the evening stadium show, the photos were shown on the stadium video screen, but were difficult to see because of the sunny weather. You can go online to see them at www.christmascitystudio.com. Please share this with your families. Thanks.
I hope everyone had a great time! Thank you for all your help and support of this wonderful event!

New Medical Form
As of January 1st, 2010 the old Class 1, 2 and 3 medical forms are no longer valid. The BSA released a single new form that is to be used by all Scouts and Scouters regardless of age. In 2009, the new form was optional but it became mandatory in 2010.
One of the main differences with the old forms and the new one is that the new one requires an annual physical for everyone. This mainly affects our Cub Scout, Boy Scout and Venturing youth and adult leaders under the age of 40 that will be attending a resident camping experience. In the past these individuals were only required to have a physical every three years.
Since our summer camps are still three and a half months away, now is the time to remind your leaders about this change. I do not want anyone to be surprised by this change. We have notified our membership in the past but it is time once again to send out another reminder.
